Antique Edwardian Glass Spaniel Portrait Cabochon – Victorian Jewelry Salvage

This charming antique glass cabochon features a beautifully detailed portrait of a spaniel, painted within layers of glass and preserved under a clear top. The black glass base gives the image striking depth and contrast, while the smooth surface subtly magnifies the hand-painted detail beneath.

Size 2.4cm diameter.

Dating to the Edwardian or late Victorian era, the piece was originally part of a brooch but has been carefully salvaged. The painting remains crisp and expressive, capturing the warmth and gentle nature of the spaniel.

There are small surface scratches and a couple of tiny fleabites to the edges

This has been cleaned.
