Antique Scottish Banded Agate Brooch

Antique Scottish agate brooch set with a rounded banded agate stone. The stone has dark brown-black tones with clear white banding running across the surface, set in a gold tone pinchbeck type metal frame. The frame has a twisted rope-style border around the agate, giving the brooch a simple but decorative finish. Likely Victorian or Edwardian in date.
